We get many requests for "donations" every single week, we want to give you a steer on whether you are likely to succeed when reaching out.

We'd advise keeping this window open while curating a pitch. Whilst this may not be a "job" we'd encourage you to pitch us as such.

Sponsorships

Some points to consider...

We are not currently Nike, GymShark etc

Please remember we are a hell of a lot smaller than these massive companies, our costs are higher and turnover is smaller.

If you wouldn't reach out to these companies for freebies, maybe apply the same rules to us.

Be a customer

We may have community interests at heart, but as a small business we unfortunately can't take on supporting individuals who want to support charities for their own personal/ career reasons.

If you're reaching out for freebies, but don't use our items, the math just doesn't math.

We proactively look pursue donations

We enagage with people and challenges a lot, but generally these are people who are close to us.

If we don’t have a close connection already. You’re gonna have to pitch us.

Things we don't donate too

To explain further we want to guide you on what we consider as potential things we will and won't consider looking at.

Think Bigger not Smaller

We're more likely to donate to events/ causes (and more willing to pay) if there is some form of event attached to it that we're invited to be a part of.

This gives us an opportunity to meet your community and network with others involved in the cause and event.

Raffles, and competitions .

If you are running some sort of regimental event even for charity, the same rules that apply to individuals seeking to work with us. It's a commercial activity and we have to treat it a such.

With raffles there’s no real value to us or the person that wins it.

If you have a budget we can maximise how we support, but can't give free stuff for your section comp or mess function.

Challenges, white collar fights

We have to apply the same guidelines mostly and we would for commercial activities.

The reality is we enagage with people and challenges a lot, but generally these are people who are close to us. If we don’t have a close connection already.

While your cause is a charity its still an individual pursuit. Unfortunately for many you likely won't generate the 'exposure' you're expecting outside of your own circle. It simply isn't viable.

Summary

The aim of this page is not to overly discourage people, but to manage expectations.

Donations are something we have at the forefront of our minds anyway when we see worthy causes and endevours we do it on our terms, so you’ll have to give us a good reason to take notice and engage.
